I have bought my IF (the one who's insemminated) a mug with a picture of a pee stick on and the words 'Your gonna be a daddy' on! I shall make him a cuppa later using it and see if he notices! lol

I am trying to book a viability scan for 3 weeks time, although the date will fall on Friday the 13th ...cos they dont scan on Thursdays! I am being cautiously optimistic due to a previous miscarriage but am hoping and praying thats all behind me now, since I had given birth just 7 months ago things should be okay.

He has had his tests completed, the std checks that is and his sperm analysis, he has seen my test results and were now already to go for it!

I am going on holiday first and have only had 1 period since giving birth so need to wait a little while before we proceed but I have got my ovulation and pregnancy tests ready for when we start!!
Watch this space!

I didn't want to meet to soon, I wanted to get the feel of them through emails 1st. I wanted to get to know thier views and feelings about everything surrogacy related to see if we would be compatible working on their dream together.

A few years ago i was intending to help a single gay man but his lesbian friend came forward and they decided to work together so it never developed further. I've never had any hold ups about gay people and do think that some would make wonderful parent's.

Helping a gay couple is not everyones cup of tea and not everyone sees it in the same way as helping a heterosexual couple, that's okay though, everyone is allowed their own personal opinion. What's right for one, is totally wrong for another, good job we're not all the same!

Anyway, our 1st meeting was nerve wracking for all 4 of us but we got on great! I emailed the guys afterwards to tell them how i felt the meeting went from my point of view and to ask them their thoughts on it. A week or so later after i had thought it all through i decided they were the couple for me so i telephoned them to let them know. We have been texting/emailing since and are due to meet up again next week to sort paperwork out in readiness for when we start!
